Bringing a startup and small-business perspective to the future of the U.S. bioeconomy

We're proud to share that Brent Cutcliffe, Co-Founder and COO of Kemvera, has been elected to the Plant Based Products Council (PBPC) Board of Directors as the Start-up and Small Business representative.

A voice for emerging companies

PBPC brings together companies and organizations working to grow the market for plant-based and bio-based products. Startups and small businesses are central to that work. They are often the ones bringing new technologies to market, and they face the steepest climb from pilot to commercial production.

As the board's Start-up and Small Business representative, Brent will help ensure those companies' key challenges, from access to capital to the need for stable, predictable policy, are part of PBPC's priorities.

Experience scaling what's next

Brent brings more than 20 years of experience scaling high-growth companies. At Kemvera, he is helping commercialize bio-based chemicals made from U.S. bioethanol, providing first-hand insight into what it takes to move innovative technologies from early development into real-world markets.

His board role builds on ongoing work with PBPC, including the Council's recent Speaker Series panel on the Biobased Materials Investment and Production Act and its Ag Bioproducts Policy Summit in Washington, D.C.

Thank you to PBPC for welcoming this perspective to the board. We look forward to supporting the Council's work to advance a strong, competitive U.S. bioeconomy.
