Jeff Uhrig is a seasoned entrepreneur and executive with two decades of experience in the specialty chemicals and sustainable materials sectors. He most recently served as CEO of Novomer and Sirrus, two pioneering chemical technology companies that he successfully led through high-profile exits. Jeff brings deep expertise in venture-backed startup leadership, strategic fundraising, technology scale-up, and customer acquisition across the chemicals and cleantech industries.
With a background in investment banking, Jeff has an exceptional track record of aligning technical innovation with commercial strategy, building strong investor relationships, and guiding companies through early- and growth-stage capital raises. His leadership helped transform cutting-edge technologies into market-ready platforms with significant commercial value.
In his advisory role at New Iridium, Jeff will collaborate closely with the executive team to:
Shape the company’s Series A fundraising strategy
Refine the go-to-market plan for bio-based acetic acid, ethyl acetate, and future CO₂-derived chemical products
Support customer development and partnership formation
Provide guidance on technical de-risking and scale-up planning
